Last updated 8 October 2026. Our Privacy Policy sits alongside this page and forms part of these terms.
These terms are an agreement between you and PlanCamps, Inc., a New York corporation, covering the PlanCamps website and everything you can do with it. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. The site is for adults: parents and guardians, the people they invite into a household, and camps and their directors. Children do not have accounts and we never contact a child.
Keep your account details accurate and your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if someone else is using it. We may suspend or close an account that holds false information or is being misused.
PlanCamps is a place to discover camps, plan a summer week by week, share that plan with the other people raising your children, and — for camps that have connected payments — to register and pay.
We are not a camp. We do not operate, staff, supervise, inspect, license, endorse or guarantee any camp. Deciding to enrol a child anywhere is yours, and the relationship for the camp itself is between you and that camp.
Most of the directory is information we gathered, not information a camp gave us. A listing's badge says how much we know about a camp, not how good or how safe it is: an open circle means we found it and checked what we could; a filled circle means the camp itself confirmed its details with us. Dates, prices, ages and registration openings change, and camps do not tell us when they do. Verify anything you are relying on with the camp before you rely on it. If a listing is wrong, tell us and we will fix or remove it.
Some camps accept registration and payment here. When they do:
Adding a camp to your schedule is planning, not booking, and never charges you. Only a camp with payments connected can take money, and only through the payment screen.
Claiming a listing means you are authorised to speak for that camp. What you publish — dates, prices, capacity, descriptions — must be accurate and kept current, and you are responsible for your camp: its operation, safety, staffing, licensing and legal compliance.
You are responsible for your own relationship with parents and for anything you collect from them. PlanCamps does not require, collect or store camp health forms, medications, allergies, medical conditions, medical authorisations or pickup lists — camps collect those directly from parents, outside PlanCamps.
You agree to cover us for claims arising from your camp, what you publish, or your dealings with parents, in the same way as section 9.
A camp may buy a sponsored position. Sponsorship lifts a Verified listing above closer Verified camps that have not sponsored, is always labelled to parents as Promoted, and never changes a camp's badge, its prices or its dates. At most three sponsored camps are shown in any one search; where more than three sponsors cover a parent's location, each search draws three of them at random so that sponsors share searches evenly, and no sponsor is promised a particular position or number of appearances. What it buys, and its price, are shown before you pay.
Sponsorship is sold by summer season. Each season ends on 15 October. A purchase made on or before Labor Day covers that year's summer; a purchase made after Labor Day covers the following summer. Either way the sponsorship starts as soon as payment clears and runs until the 15 October that ends its season. The full season price is charged at purchase. There is no proration for buying part-way through a season, and payments are not refunded.
Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel renewal first, your sponsorship renews automatically on 15 October each year for the following summer, and the payment method you gave us is charged the then-current price of your plan on that date. The current prices are shown on the Promote tab and on the payment page before you buy. If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies to you: at least 30 days before the 15 October on which it would first be charged, by email to the address on the sponsorship, together with how to cancel renewal. We also email a reminder 30 days before every renewal, stating the date and the amount.
Cancelling renewal. You can cancel renewal at any time, up to the day before 15 October, online: on the Promote tab (or from the sponsorship link in your verification email), choose Manage billing, which opens the billing page of our payment processor, Stripe, and cancel there. You can also update your card and download invoices on that page, or email info@plancamps.com and we will cancel for you. Cancelling does not end the season you have paid for — your sponsorship keeps running to its 15 October and simply is not renewed — and you can restore renewal on the same page at any time before then. Nothing is refunded when renewal is cancelled. To move to a different plan for the next summer, email us.
Discount and founder codes apply as stated on the code: to the first season only, or to renewals as well. Where a code expires, renewals are charged at the then-current price.
If a payment fails, we retry it; the sponsorship is paused, and taken off results, until payment clears. If a renewal cannot be collected, the sponsorship ends. We may end a sponsorship early and refund the unused part of the season if the camp ceases to be Verified or breaks these terms.
You own what you enter. You give us permission to store and display it as far as running the site requires — showing your schedule to you, to the people in your household, and to anyone you deliberately send a share link.
When you share something — a schedule link, a child's details on a camp's form — that is your decision, and we cannot control what the person receiving it does with it. A share link works for anyone holding it; you can revoke it at any time.
Please do not use PlanCamps unlawfully, impersonate anyone, publish false or harmful content, scrape or disrupt the site, or interfere with other people's use of it. We may remove content or close accounts that do.
Creating an account means we can send you the messages that make the site work: confirmations, invites you asked for, security notices, and changes to these terms. We may also send you occasional promotional emails about PlanCamps, such as new features, planning tips and offers. These are on by default: you can untick them at sign-up, switch them off in your profile, or use the unsubscribe link in any such email.
PlanCamps links out to camp websites, registration pages and our payment processor. We do not control them and are not responsible for them; your use of them is on their terms.
You can delete your account whenever you like, from your profile. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we stop offering the service. Sections 3 and 8 onwards survive.
THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that any listing, date, price or other information is accurate, complete or current, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We are a source of information and planning tools. We are not responsible for any camp's conduct, safety, quality or staffing, or for any experience, injury or loss arising from attending or dealing with a camp. That relationship is between you and the camp.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, PLANCAMPS IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE FEES YOU PAID PLANCAMPS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE IT AROSE, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.
Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify PlanCamps and the people who work for it against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the site, what you post, your dealings with a camp or another user, or your breach of these terms or the law.
If something goes wrong, please write to us first — most things are settled by an email to info@plancamps.com.
You and PlanCamps agree that disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, that neither of us will take part in a class or representative action about them, and that each of us waives a jury trial. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court. If the class-action waiver is held unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court instead.
New York law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the Federal Arbitration Act governs section 10. Any dispute that proceeds in court belongs in the state or federal courts of New York.
These terms are the whole agreement between us about the site. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. You may not transfer these terms; we may, as part of a merger or sale.
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will post it here with a new date and, where it deserves it, tell you directly. Continuing to use PlanCamps after that means you accept the update.
